A bit about Great Baddow

Great Baddow is an urban Village in the Chelmsford borough of Essex with a population of over 13,000, it is hailed as one of the largest Villages in England. The centre of Great Baddow is now a conservation area and contains over 30 listed buildings. Great Baddow High School is situated on Duffield Road. The school is a sports college and shows exceptional performances in this field. There are also five primary schools in the Village. There are many different clubs in the Village, including football team Great Baddow FC who play their home games at the Recreation Ground on Baddow Road and the Lawn Tennis Club who are based at Ladywell Lane. There are seven nearby Villages in the area, including Galleywood, Sandon, Danbury, Little Baddow, Rettendon, Moulsham and Chelmer Village. Five Churches are in Great Baddow, St. Mary’s, CGC Baddow, United Reformed Church, Meadgate Church and St. Paul’s. If you feel like going out for a nice pub lunch in the Village, you have a list of five different pubs to choose from, The White Horse, The Kings Head, The Blue Lion, The Star Inn and The Beehive.
